Jan was brought in after this couples' mountain style retirement home was complete.They couldn't get to their dock or around their house and there was no usable outdoor space. Jan designed an Ipe deck to split the steep walk up from the pre existing beach and act as an outdoor gathering space. Graceful natural stone steps and walks circulate traffic stylishly and safely. The beach is now sculpurely defined. Plantings are minimal and mostly native since low maintenance was a priority. Kewanne and riverstones act as mulch,holding steep slopes and adding  texture to this now breathtaking spot.
